Nguyen reflects on her first term, future priorities in reelection campaign
NORTH ANDOVER - Two years ago, Tram Nguyen of Andover pulled off the political upset of the region when she unseated Republican longtime State Rep. Jim Lyons.
Since then, State Rep. Nguyen has held more than 40 drop-in office hour sessions, filed more than 20 pieces of legislation (11 of which made it through their respective committees), and has navigated the legislative process during what may be the most tumultuous two years the region has seen.
“I truly believe that you can’t represent the people without actually listening to the people,” Nguyen said. “Even if we disagree, I can guarantee you that I will listen to you and take your feedback into consideration for the work that I do.”
